Customised training courses

INSTC provides customised training courses based on your particular needs for familiarisation to FURUNO navigational equipment. Please contact INSTC for further details.

Target group: Navigators in need of being familiarised with the operation of FURUNO navigation equipment.

Duration: 1-5 days

Fee includes: Training materials, training using simulator, lunch and refreshments during the training course.

Description:The training aims to familiarise the trainees with the FURUNO navigation equipment for safer and more efficient navigation.

The training complies with the IMO STCW-95 code.

• The use of Track Control System (TCS)
• Routines and rules for paperless navigation
• Extended voyage documentation (tanker)
• Ships handling
• Extended voyage planning
• Radar/ARPA use
• ECDIS
• AIS/Radar
• NAVTEX, weather fax
• VDR

It is also possible to book a specific type of vessel and simulator exercises from a specific geographical area.

Attendance: Minimum of 6 trainees per day.
