Description:This is a training course exclusively designed for crews assigned to vessels with INS/IBS bridges. The course is an extension of our ECDIS training course (see IMO ECDIS model course 1.27 for details). The INS/IBS training course is based on the practical use of the navigation equipment under different conditions.

The course will exercise the various bridge routines and challenge the trainees to combine the theoretical and practical operation of the equipment onboard a ship.

In case that the trainees take this course as a part of preparations for their assignment to a newbuilding, the course can be carried out on the basis of the specific INS/IBS design for that specific newbuilding.

The training is concluded with 3 compulsory tests and?if passed?a certificate is issued, which confirms the attendant's successful completion of the INS/IBS training course, meeting the requirements of the IMO Model Course 1.32, reviewed by DNV SeaSkill™. The training complies with the IMO STCW-95 code.
