Description: This is a training course designed exclusively for crews assigned to vessels with IBS/INS bridges. The course is an extension of the IMO ECDIS model course 1.27. The IBS/INS training course is based on the practical use of the navigation equipment under different conditions.
The course will train the various bridge routines and challenge the officers/navigators to combine the theoretical and practical operation of the navigational equipment on the bridge.
In case the trainees are participating in the course as part of the preparations for going onboard a new building, the course can be carried out on the basis of the IBS/INS design for that specific new building.
The training is concluded with an individual assessment of the trainees. A cerficate is issued to confirm the trainee's successful completion of the IBS/INS training course, meeting the requirements of the IMO Model Course 1.32, reviewed by DNV SeaSkill™.
The training complies with the IMO STCW-95 code.
